In addition to honoring Sharon Gilbert and Tony Tolson for their outstanding commitment and service to the youth of Framingham, the 2013 Salute To Framingham will recognize Framingham teachers and staff who go the extra mile to make each day "special" in the Framingham public schools. Two dozen Framingham High students from the class of 2012 were among the honorees at the the 20th Annual Salute to Framingham Thursday night. Framingham High principal Michael Welch told the more than 500 people in attendance that it was hard to "narrow it to just 24" students.
