Suspected Thief Held; Cash Recovered

Hopkinton's Ryan McClay, arrested by Milford Police Wednesday after a car chase that ended a short distance from his home, is locked up after seeing his bail revoked at Milford District Court. McClay, 20, was not eligible to be released because of pending charges in another court, and was held on $25,000 cash for his alleged connection to a string of break-ins throughout Milford, Det. Jay Ball said. When police apprehended him early Wednesday morning, they described him on their twitter page as a suspect in burglaries in Framingham, as well. 20-Year-Old Faces 51 Charges After Break-Ins

The suspect, who crashed his car after leading cops on a chase, is connected to crimes in several towns.

Milford Police have arrested a man they say broke into businesses, homes and cars throughout the area, including Framingham and Natick. Ryan A. McClay, 20, of 7 Meserve St., Hopkinton, was arrested in Hopkinton in the early morning hours Wednesday after leading police on a chase into the neighboring town. The arrest came after Milford police found several businesses had been broken into in the early morning hours for the second time this week. A woman called the department in the early morning hours Wednesday when she witnessed a man, later identified as McClay, come from behind Peter's Market before running on to Fountain Street. Officers responded to the area, where they witnessed McClay running to and getting into his vehicle. According…
