Framingham Man Charged With Intent to Murder; Dog Struck and Killed on Edgell Road

Monday, Feb. 25: 1 arrest, 4 crashes and 4 reports of larceny 12:08 a.m. Motor vehicle investigation reported at Bishop and Waverly streets.  6:43 a.m. Motor vehicle crash reported at Mt. Wayte Ave. and Union Ave, with no injuries.   12:50 p.m. Disturbed person reported at Psychiatric Emergency Office 354 Waverly St. Framingham Fire transported the individual. 12:57 p.m. Report of a motor vehicle broken into at Savers, 500 Cochituate Rd. 1:03 p.m. Motor vehicle crash reported at Brook St. and Edgell Rd.       1:52 p.m. Larceny reported at 6 Bellwood Rd.  3:57 p.m. Motor vehicle crash reported at 11 Waushakum St. One vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. 5:13 p.m. Missing juevnile reported at Massachusetts Department of Children and Families…

UPDATED: Police: Framingham Man Hog-Tied, Threw and Killed His Dog

A Framingham man was arrested over the weekend and charged with animal cruelty.

A Framingham man was arrested Friday night and charged with animal cruelty after he killed his dog, said police. Douglas A. Coelho, 27, of 126 Beaver St. was to be arraigned in court today, Jan. 7. There also is an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer on him, said Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini. The dog, a black Terrier-type, weighing just 7.5 pounds was found dead in a dumpster, by Coelho's roommate. He then called police. Let Patch save you time.
