The team set a school record; and the time slightly beats their indoor national time, said boys track coach Chris Collins.
On a cold day in Franklin, the Framingham High boys outdoor track team sprinted to a second place win in the Division 1 State Relays, said head coach Chris Collins. In the spring medley relay, Ben Groleau, a senior, started things off in the 800 with a time of 1:57, followed by a pair of fast 200's from Luke Halberstadt (10th grade, 23.6) and Andrew Roschen (11th, 24.2). Senior Bo Lewis really got the Flyers back in the race and almost caught winner Acton-Boxboro at the end, running a 49.7 anchor in the 400 meter, said Collins. "Best day in Framingham High boys indoor track recent history," said head coach Chris Collins.
Framingham High boys indoor track team finished fifth overall in the Massachusetts Divison 1 relays on Saturday, said head coach Chris Collins. It was the "best day in Framingham High boys indoor track recent history," added Collins. The squad also set a couple of school records. "It very easily could have been higher, but a mis-timing on the initial hurdles run made the heat line up again and the Flyers (who had a 10-plus foot margin win) fell by one 100th of a second in the rerun, finishing second in the event," and costing the team 2 points, reported Collins. The relay team of Jesse Wing, Noah Singer, Andrew Vincuilla and Emmanuel Kalamu, "would have beaten the old state record," according to my hand-timed results said Collins. He said …

Preview of the springs sports teams at Framingham High.
The Framingham High girls lacrosse team will be wearing a target all year. Every team the Flyers play will bring their A game, looking to knock off the mighty Flyers. That’s what happens when your team is the defending state champion. The season will be especially tough for the Flyers because they have strengthened their schedule to play strong out-of-league teams. “This will be the most difficult schedule in program history,” said coach Stacey Freda. “This is the first year that we will only play league teams once. We scheduled powerful out of league teams because we want to play the better teams. That helps us when we get into the tournament.” In terms of non-league teams that will pose a challenge to the Flyers, Freda mentioned Lincoln …
