Hemenway Elementary School held its annual spring fair Sunday. And after the fair, the Hemenway Elementary PTO held its annual golf ball drop fundraiser Sunday. The janitor dropped the balls from the roof of the school, as the Framingham Fire Department was unavailable and out on a call. Thanks to photographer Kevin Cummings of Cummings Photography for the photos in this slideshow. PTO members feel free to add you photos!

Hemenway PTO requests parents and residents to call for an increase in Framingham Teacher Association & School Committee negotiations to reach a successful conclusion.

The Hemenway PTO urges all Framingham residents to contact the Framingham School Committee and the Framingham Teacher’s Association for an immediate increase in frequency of mediation sessions regarding Framingham teacher contracts. Parents, property owners, taxpayers, indeed our entire community has a stake in this matter. Call upon the Framingham School Committee and the Framingham Teachers Association now for an increased commitment towards resolving …

Hemenway Elementary School's PTO held a golf ball drop, with help from the Framingham Fire Department, as a fundraiser at its spring fair on Sunday.
Dozens and dozens of brightly colored golf balls fell from the sky Sunday at Hemenway Elementary School, as part of the PTO's golf ball drop fundraiser. The event, ended the PTO's successful spring fair. With the help of the Framingham Fire Department, golf balls were dropped. Each had a number on it. Individuals had paid $10 to "own" each golf ball. The ball closest to a flag placed under the bucket on the fire truck won $700. Prizes were also awarded for the ball farthest from the flag, and second closest to the flag. Watch the video of the drop.
