Fostering healthy relationships offline and online was the focus of a day long conference held Thursday for school officials and law enforcement personnel hosted by the Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone’s Office and the Middlesex Partnership for Youth, Inc. More than 300 local school officials, social workers and law enforcement personnel attended SECURE XIV, an annual conference to address issues of health and safety for teens. Onyango Obama, 67, of Framingham, admitted to sufficient facts today in Framingham District Court to charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor. The Commonwealth recommended a guilty conviction with one year probation and a 45 day loss of license on the count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor and requested a responsible finding for the failure to yield at an intersection charge. Framingham District Court Judge Douglas Stoddart sentenced the defendant to one year probation and imposed the statutorily mandated probation conditions of attending a driver alcohol education program and incurring a license loss of 45 days. A Framingham man was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty on charges in connection with an armed robbery, in which he shot at three police officers, seriously injuring one, said Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone in a press release. Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone was a guest speaker at the Framingham town administrators and area business leaders bi-annual meeting Thursday, where he addressed the importance of workplace violence prevention. The event was held at Cushing Memorial Park for area business leaders with a focus on community and economic development. Also in attendance was Framingham Town Manager Julian Suso, Chair of the Framingham Board of Selectmen Jason Smith, Framingham Planning Board Director Jay Grande and Framingham Police Chief Steven Carl, according to a press release. A Framingham man has been found guilty of rape and robbery charges against three female victims he solicited from Craig’s List, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said in a press statement Monday. Reinaldo Prado, 30, of Framingham, was found guilty Monday by a Middlesex Superior Court jury on charges of aggravated rape, armed robbery (three counts), and intimidation of a witness (three counts). Middlesex Superior Court Judge Kathe Tuttman will sentence the defendant on Oct. 18. UPDATED at 2 p.m. with information supplied from a release by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office: Kathleen Porter, 59, of Needham Heights, was arraigned this morning, Sept. 1 in Middlesex Superior Court inWoburn on charges of illegally prescribing controlled substances (9 counts) and furnishing false information in an application. Middlesex Superior Court Judge Bruce Henry released the defendant with the conditions that she surrender her Schedule II Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License, must not travel outside of New England without prior court approval, must surrender her passport, must not commit any new offenses, and is required to update the Department of Public Health with respect to her new license status. A donation from the Middlesex District Attorney's Office will allow the Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest to provide additional transportation for its after school programs and increase its numbers from 185 to about 250 students.

In regards to fairness I would think it's a little late to deport him. I mean really now...the guy has been here for a long time, and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and hasn't been a problem so far.
