Fuller Middle School Mourning Death of Student Teacher, FSU Student
Friends and family can remember Framingham State University student Colleen Kelly, 21, at Gately Funeral Home on Tuesday and at Mass on Wednesday.
The Framingham State University student killed Friday night was also a student teacher at Fuller Middle School. Colleen Kelly, 21, who was expected to graduate from Framingham State University in 2013, was an English major, who just completed a 12-week internship at Fuller Middle. She wanted to be a teacher and "was looking ahead to a bright and promising future," said Framingham Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott. Kelly, who grew up in Melrose, died while trying to cross Route 9 at Maynard Road. She made it halfway when she was struck in the eastbound lane, thrown into the westbound lane, where she was hit again. Both drivers stopped. Framingham Police are investigating. A Mass was held for Kelly on the University campus Sunday night. …
