Whiz Kids

Framingham Drama Company

This week Framingham Patch chose the entire Framingham Drama Company as its Whiz Kids.

Whiz Kids' Name: Framingham Drama Company Whiz Kids' School: Framingham High Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: One of 14 finalists in the Massachusetts Drama Festival. They will perform Friday night in Boston. Two schools chosen this weekend will represent Massachusetts in the New England Drama Festival. Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: Framingham High Drama Director Donna  Wresinski chose the Spanish tragedy Bodas de Sangre by Federico Garcia Lorca for the high school's entry into the Massachusetts Drama Festival. Framingham High's Blood Wedding is a bilingual interpretation of the original play, written in 1932. Lorca wrote the play based on a newspaper article he read about a woman who ran away with her former lover on her wedding day. The play…

Whiz Kids

Framingham Basketball 6th Grade team

Congrats to the Framingham basketball 6th grade team for being selected Whiz Kids. They had an undeafeated season at 16-0.

 Whiz Kids Names: George Tremblay, Giovanni Aga, Sam Phipps, Sean Coote, Charles James, Ari Salinger, Matt Chin, Jesse Rubin, Jack DiConza, William Slater. Whiz Kids' Accomplishments: Through their hard work in practice this team had an undefeated season. They finished in first place in the their Division 3 North grouping.  This allowed them to move up to a higher division for the playoffs and earned the Metrowest Group 2 Basketball title.  Overall their season record was 16-0. This is just the second season that the Jr. Flyers even had a travel basketball program.  This year's team had some playes from (last year's) successful 5th grade team along with new players who all worked hard together to achieve success on the court.  The players …
