ReplyThat intersection is impossibly dangerous. Why nothing's been done before, I have no idea. I tried to avoid it for 40 years, but sometimes you just have to use it,

Replyyes, a compromise. One which does not require labeling of the contents of our food. One which ill allow Monsanto tainted products in our food without us knowing.
What is the matter with people? Don't they see the rise in cancers and other illnesses--supposedly with no reason for them? UGH!

ReplyOver and over again, it has been proven that good music lessons and experiences help the brain grow and learn. So what did Framingham do? Yup. Cut music programs. Better to teach kids to take the state tests. Right?

ReplyGreat News. That has been an eyesore for so many years.
But more green, more trees, the solar is a must---a must! What about green roofs with gardens. The technology is there. Why not begin using it.

ReplyI retired a year or more after I was able to retire. I never wanted to retire. The lack of support from the administration and school committee were the only reasons I retired. We took pay cuts, we paid more for health care, and yet we financed our class rooms and our own continuing education. I'm sorry, in service classes about how to prepare children for the state tests was and is not my idea of education.
The last year I was there a school committee member actually said" I'll be damned if I give the teachers a raise." Now how would that make you feel.
I still have friends who teach in Framingham. I am sorry for what they are made to do that has nothing to do with education. I am sorry for their over crowded classrooms with children who need aides and don't have them. I am sorry for them with administrators who are not supportive.
I miss the classroom everyday, but I don't miss the situation in which I taught. I my students and their parents were wonderful and supportive, but the administration......Oh well.....

I have a question:
Why do Middle school teachers need more In service time than elementary school teachers. Seems odd to me. What's the matter with middle school teachers that they need more in service time?
