Monday Essential: Framingham Changes Elementary School Times

The Framingham Public Schools announced changes to the school day on Friday afternoon.

Editor's Note: Attached is a copy of the press release. Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott was not available to discuss the changes on Friday.

Last year, students at McCarthy Elementary School went to school from 8:15 to 2:15 p.m. This year, students will attend school from 8:15 a.m. to 2:16 p.m.

School starts & end times:

Framingham High - 7:25 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.

Cameron, Fuller & Walsh Middle - 8:15 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.

McCarthy Elementary - 8:15 a.m. to 2:16 p.m.

BLOCKS Full day at Juniper Hill -  8:20 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Barbieri Elementary - 9:05 a.m. to 3:06 p.m.

Dunning Elementary - 9:05 a.m. to 3:06 p.m.

Stapleton Elementary - 9:05 a.m. to 3:06 p.m.

Wilson Elementary - 9:05 a.m. to 3:06 p.m.

BLOCKS at Framingham High - 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Brophy Elementary - 9:15 a.m. to 3:17 p.m.

Hemenway Elementary - 9:15 a.m. to 3:17 p.m.

Potter Road Elementary - 9:15 a.m. to 3:17 p.m.

Freshman at Framingham High have an orientation Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Framingham Public Schools students in grades 1-12 start Wednesday.

There is a kindergarten orientation on Aug. 30, but preschool and kindergarten students will not start school full-time until after Labor Day this year.
