Carol Phalen Announces She Won't Seek Re-Election to School Committee

Carol Phalen has served on the Framingham School Committee for 5 years; her term ends in April 2014.

Carol Phalen issued a statement this morning to the media that she would not seek re-election to the Framingham School Committee.

"I am honored to have served the Town and the Students of Framingham since May 2009.  My term ends in April 2014.  When these 5 years are complete, I have chosen to not run for re-election.  I want to spend more time with my family and to pursue other interests.  Thank you to my fellow School Committee members and to Framingham residents for your support these past years.  I am especially proud to have been a member of the Committee to bring stable leadership to the district which I hope will bring educational benefits to our students for years to come.  We have wonderful and dedicated teachers.  I firmly believe that all students can achieve at high levels.  Thanks again for your faith and trust."
