Vice Principal Shuffle at Middle Schools; 3 New Vice Principals Named in District

Fuller Middle school vice principal off to Walsh Middle and Walsh vice principal headed to Cameron Middle announced Framingham Supeintendent of Schools.

Framingham Superintendent of School Stacy Scott announced on the last day of school, June 26 the appointment of three new vice principals.

  • Beth Herrmann at Walsh Middle School
  • Michele Schecter at Dunning Elementary School
  • Larry Wolpe at Potter Road Elementary School

Herrmann will assume her administrative duties at Walsh after serving as a Special Education Teacher at Walsh Middle School for the past 12 years. She received her undergraduate degree from SUNY at Geneseo and her graduate degree from SUNY at Albany.

Since February 2013, Schecter has been serving an Administrative Intern at Dunning Elementary School. She was a Speech Therapist for six years and a Special Education Teacher for six years at Fuller Middle School. Her Bachelor’s degree is from Suffolk University and her Master’s degree is from Worcester State College.

Wolpe will be leaving Stapleton Elementary School after being there as an Elementary Teacher for nine years. Previously, he worked for five years as a reporter at WLVI.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Ithaca College and with a Master’s Degree from Lesley University.  

Scott also announced a shuffle of the vice principals at the middle school level.

Scott said these reassignments were necessary when considering the needs of: the students and staff, and two new principals at the middle school level.

James Bergeron will transfer from Fuller Middle School to Walsh Middle School.   he just completed his first year as Vice  Principal at Fuller Middle School. He
taught Eighth Grade Social Studies at Fuller Middle School for seven years. His
undergraduate studies in History were completed at UMASS Amherst. He has subsequently completed a Master’s Degree in Education from UMASS Amherst and a second Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Framingham State College.  

After serving four years at Walsh Middle School, Patrick Johnson will transfer to Cameron Middle School as Vice-Principal.  Prior to joining the Walsh staff, Mr. Johnson was a Technology Teacher at Maynard High School for one year and a Technology Teacher at Maynard Middle School for  13 years.  He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Johnson and Wales, a Master’s degree from Northeastern, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) from Fitchburg State.
