Bowditch Field hosted an international soccer match between Cruzeiro and Miami-Dade today, June 22.

Cruzeiro is one of Brazil's most accomplished soccer clubs, founded in 1921. The club typically plays in the Campeonato Mineiro, of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, and the Brasileirão, the top tier of the Brazilian football league system. Cruzeiro is the reigning Brazilian and Mineiro champions.

Crowds began forming outside Bowditch Field, like Patriots fans tailgate at Gillette Stadium, as early as 12:30 p.m. Gates opened at 2 p.m. for the 3 p.m. match.

It was a boisterous, yet family-friendly crowd. Tickets were $65 for adults and $45 for children.

Included in the this report is a video of the crowd and a slideshow of the fans.
