YOUR GUIDE: Performances of Little Mermaid Jr. Friday and Saturday

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest will stage The Little Mermaid, Jr., tomorrow Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Dwight Theater at Framingham State University.

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest will stage The Little Mermaid, Jr., featuring a cast of students in grades 2 - 12 from the MetroWest area tomorrow Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Dwight Theater at Framingham State University.  

With lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, music by Alan Menken, based on the Hans Christian Andersen Story and the Disney Film, this family friendly musical is suitable for all ages.

In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she will have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she is the girl with the enchanting voice.

Adapted from Disney’s 2008 Broadway production, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Jr.  features the hit songs Part of Your World, Kiss the Girl, and the Oscar-winning Under the Sea. 

The Dwight Theater is located at 100 State S. on the campus of Framingham State University.
