Framingham High Jazz Band Wins Silver Medal in State Competition

Framingham High musicians Eric Tarlin, alto sax, and Jeremy Galloway, guitar, were honored for outstanding individual performances.

The Framingham High School Jazz Band competed in the state finals, for the second year in a row, and earned a silver medal Saturday.

Last year, Framingham High earned a gold medal in the finals and performed at the Hatch Shell in Boston on Mother's Day. 

Earlier this month, the Framingham High Jazz band 1 competed in the Massachusetts Association for Jazz Education's Northeast District Festival at Reading Memorial High School to qualify for the state finals on Saturday. They won a silver medal.
